Tea/Coffee Shop of the Year

With this award, we wanted to find the one place you never fail to visit on your shopping trip into town or maybe it’s your regular village meeting place with old friends. The finalists make tea feel like a special event, with freshly cut sandwiches and homemade cakes and scones, all made with locally-sourced ingredients.

Now it’s time for the Pub of the Year Award. one of our favourite categories! This is all about the joy of drinking real ale in a real pub (or maybe a glass of wine from an expertly picked list). The winner of this category will need to stock local ales, have an inventive wine list and will know exactly what is required to keep the regulars coming back. A great pub should act as a hub for your community.

With Surrey’s restaurants seeing something of a renaissance in recent years, the number of chefs known for their expert use of seasonal produce and creative menus is arguably higher than ever before. We were looking for chefs producing consistently exceptional menus that really get diners talking.
